Water Testing

India faces a severe challenge with water quality. The sources of drinking water are continuously polluted due to industrial discharge, agricultural runoff, untreated sewage, and solid waste dumping.

Water Testing as a Vital Part of Human Life

Given the widespread contamination and health risks, water testing is no longer optional - it is a fundamental necessity.

  • Early Detection & Prevention: Identifies contaminants before large-scale illness occurs.
  • Identifying Root Causes: Links community diseases to specific pollutants.
  • Informing Treatment Decisions: Helps choose proper purification methods.
  • Accountability & Policy: Data helps enforce regulations and hold polluters accountable.
  • Public Awareness: Educates communities about their water quality.
MAARC Labs: Pioneering Water Quality Analysis in Maharashtra
  • Since the early 2000s, MAARC Labs has been a leader in water quality testing, long before environmental monitoring became mainstream.
  • Today,MAARC Labs offers advanced analysis using spectrophotometers, ion chromatographs, GC-ECD, GC-MS, LC-MS, FTIR, classical chemistry, and microbiology facilities.
  • Our analytical strength supports compliance with IS 10500, IS 14543, IS 15420 and more - delivering scientifically precise, regulatory-compliant results.

Specialised Analysis for High-Pressure Boiler Waters

MAARC Labs extends its comprehensive water testing expertise to a critical industrial application: the analysis of high-pressure boiler waters in sugar factories. The purity of water used in these boilers is paramount, directly impacting their energy efficiency and operational longevity. Impurities can lead to scaling, corrosion, and decreased heat transfer, significantly increasing operational costs and posing potential safety hazards.

For many years, MAARC Labs has been a trusted partner to the sugar industry, providing an accurate and detailed assessment of water impurities in boiler systems. Our precise analytical capabilities help factories maintain optimal boiler performance, prevent costly downtime, and ensure energy efficiency, contributing to

MAARC Labs: A Decade of Impact in Tribal Health

For the past 12 years, MAARC Labs has proudly operated as an integral part of a dedicated NGO, making significant contributions to the health and well-being of tribal communities in the Nagpur district. Our primary focus has been on addressing the critical health issues stemming from water and food contamination.

Through rigorous analysis, MAARC Labs has meticulously tested a large number of water samples from specific affected areas for the presence of heavy metals and pesticide residues. Concurrently, we have also analyzed vegetables consumed by these communities for various toxic ingredients. The comprehensive data generated from these analyses has been instrumental in providing a clear picture of environmental health hazards.

This crucial information empowers the NGO and local authorities to implement targeted corrective actions, leading to tangible improvements in the environmental conditions and, consequently, the overall life status of the tribal populations. MAARC Labs remains committed to leveraging its scientific expertise for the betterment of these vulnerable communities.

Following the success of this initial project in 2008-2009, MAARC Labs has continued its partnership with the organization. It is now considered an integral part of the non-profit's research projects, assisting with the analysis of not only wild edibles but also heavy metals and pesticides in soil, water, and crops. The lab is currently involved in a research project on chronic kidney disease.
