Expert Leadership: Dr. S. S. Nimbalkar

The facility is led by Dr. Sadashiv Nimbalkar, an eminent expert and Director at Maarc Labs. A Ph.D. in Microbiology and an alumnus of the prestigious Agharkar Research Institute (ARI), Pune, Dr. Nimbalkar is a recipient of the S.P. Agharkar Gold Medal for his research excellence.

With decades of experience, he serves as an Associate Referee for ICUMSA and is a key member of the Food & Agriculture Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). His visionary leadership ensures that our microbiological protocols remain at the forefront of global scientific trends.

Water Quality Profiling

Comprehensive testing for packaged drinking water, natural mineral water, and industrial process water as per IS 14543, IS 13428, and IS 10500 standards.

Tests include: E. coli, Coliform, S. aureus, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Yeast & Moulds, Shigella, SRA, and Fecal indicators.

Sugar & Syrup

Total Yeast & Mould Count, Total Plate Count, E. coli, Coliform, Total Mesophilic Bacterial Count (TAB), G. TAB, Salmonella, S. aureus, and Shigella.

Milk & Dairy Products

Aerobic Plate Count, Coliform, E. coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, S. aureus, Yeast & Moulds.

We also offer specialized analysis of microbial sugar losses, Dextran formation, and mesophilic bacteria—an area of niche expertise for which Maarc Labs is internationally recognized.

Environmental Monitoring

Active and passive air sampling along with surface swab analysis to validate hygiene standards in manufacturing environments.

Now a days swab testing and air monitoring have received prime importance especially to satisfy the specifications set by FSSAI. Good environmental and hygienic conditions improves the food quality and increases the shelf life.
